To accommodate the surge in passengers during the Vesak Day holiday period, Indonesian railways company KAI will provide 20 additional trains from May 22 to 26, 2024. As of May 21, 2024, over 62 percent of available tickets had been sold, prompting KAI to urge passengers to purchase tickets through official channels. The additional trains will operate on various routes to cater to the increased demand, including popular destinations such as Bandung, Surabaya, and Yogyakarta.
