The Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested a man named Mazhar Iqbal for using a VPN (Virtual Private Network) application on his mobile phone, violating an order issued by the district magistrate on May 6th. The action was taken following an order from the Additional District Magistrate of Rajouri, which mandated the immediate suspension of VPN services in the district to safeguard sensitive data during the Lok Sabha elections. This marks the second such booking in the region for violating the magistrate’s directive.
