Laos is hoping to attract over 2.7 million international tourists in 2024 by easing visa restrictions and promoting its ‘Visit Laos Year 2024’ initiative. The country is particularly targeting Chinese tourists and has introduced temporary visa exemptions and extended visa validity for travelers from various countries.
A Lao delegation, led by the Deputy Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, participated in the 16th China International Tourism Industry Expo, promoting ‘Visit Laos Year 2024’ and showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and tourism potential to a global audience.
