Vivek Wadhwa, an Indian-American entrepreneur and author, has questioned Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s decision to choose China over India for the company’s manufacturing operations. Wadhwa believes that Musk is making a mistake by favoring China, as he would have dominated the Indian market if he had established manufacturing there instead. Despite Musk’s planned visit to India and potential investment announcement, he later postponed the trip due to unforeseen Tesla-related tasks. However, Musk’s subsequent visit to China and meeting with Premier Li Qiang have reportedly resulted in concessions for Tesla and progress in rolling out advanced driver assistance technology in the country.
