A rare Volkswagen XL1 hypercar, one of less than 300 produced, is up for auction. Despite its hybrid diesel engine delivering an astonishing 235 mpg, the car currently has an affordable asking price under £40,000. With only two previous owners and less than 20,000 miles on the clock, the XL1 is expected to fetch a high price at auction, as previous models have sold for nearly three times the initial price.
