Volleyball Canada Youth National Championships Generating Millions in Economic Spinoffs

The Volleyball Canada Youth National Championships, currently taking place in Edmonton, have brought together the most talented teenage volleyball players in the country. The 12-day tournament, which features more than 3,000 matches and 15,000 athletes, has also generated tens of millions of dollars in economic spinoffs for the region. Hotels, restaurants, and other businesses have seen a surge in activity, with an estimated 33,000 hotel room nights being booked during the tournament. The event has also created jobs for 350 referees from across Canada and the United States.
