Kashmiri Pandits to Vote in First Phase of J&K Assembly Elections

Over 35,000 displaced Kashmiri Pandits will cast their votes in the first phase of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, exercising their right to franchise at 24 special polling stations across Jammu, Udhampur, and Delhi. The first phase of polling will take place on Wednesday in 24 constituencies, with 219 candidates vying for seats. The community has six candidates contesting in this phase, with a significant number of Kashmiri Pandits registered to vote in Jammu, while a smaller number will vote in Delhi and Udhampur.
