Amazon Warehouse Shooting: Trainee Guard Kills Supervisor, Wounds Officer

A trainee security guard at an Amazon warehouse in Ohio has been fatally shot by police after he attempted to shoot his supervisor and later shot an officer wearing a bulletproof vest. The shooting occurred on Sunday around 4:40 p.m. at the warehouse in West Jefferson, according to authorities. The 22-year-old suspect, Ali Hamsa Yusuf, fired a shot at close range at his supervisor’s head, but narrowly missed. Yusuf then fled the scene, leaving over 100 employees unharmed. He later targeted a Columbus police officer, hitting the officer’s bulletproof vest with a bullet. Yusuf was shot and killed by law enforcement officers. Amazon has confirmed that Yusuf was a contract employee assigned to the warehouse by a third-party partner and has expressed gratitude that no employees were injured during the incident.
