Man Arrested at High School Track Meet for Weapons Possession and Child Endangerment

Colin Williams, 40, of Johnson City is facing charges after he was arrested at Johnson City High School during a track meet on Saturday. Authorities say Williams grabbed a female athlete and attempted to take her to the parking lot, claiming she had to leave with him. Coaches from the Horseheads and Owego-Apalachin track teams intervened and detained Williams, confiscating a knife from him. Police subsequently found a loaded 10mm Glock handgun in his possession. Williams was allegedly intoxicated at the time of the incident and believed the girl was his daughter.
