Sophomore shortstop Kamrin Jenkins delivered a crucial two-run double in the seventh inning to lead Oswego to a 5-3 victory over West Aurora in a Southwest Prairie West game on Tuesday. Jenkins, who has been a standout for the Panthers all season, broke a 3-3 tie with his hit, driving in the eventual winning runs. Oswego’s pitching staff, led by starter Isaiah Gutierrez and reliever Aiden Pugh, held West Aurora to just three runs, while Jenkins’ defensive play at shortstop was instrumental in securing the victory.
