The Winnipeg Jets got off to a strong start in their first-round playoff series against the Colorado Avalanche, winning Game 1 by a score of 7-6 on Sunday. Captain Adam Lowry and Kyle Connor each scored twice for the Jets, while Mark Scheifele added a goal and two assists. Josh Morrissey and Vladislav Namestnikov also scored for Winnipeg. Connor Hellebuyck made 40 saves in the win. The Avalanche were led by Nathan MacKinnon, who had a goal and an assist. Cale Makar also scored for Colorado. Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Tuesday night at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
