In response to warming temperatures and the arrival of spring, West Hartford is expanding on-street outdoor dining corrals in Blue Back Square and the West Hartford Center. The changes are scheduled for May 9, before the Mother’s Day holiday weekend. Visitors should anticipate barriers being placed on LaSalle Road, Farmington Avenue, and Memorial Road. Lane closures are possible in the work zones, but roadways will remain open. Additionally, Public Works will trim trees along sidewalks. West Hartford has plans to further widen sidewalks to enhance outdoor dining accommodations in 2025.
