An Indian-origin man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for culpable homicide after he killed his girlfriend, Mallika Begum Rahamansa Abdul Rahman, in a fit of rage over her relationships with other men. On January 17, 2019, Krishnan, 40, punched and kicked Rahman, 40, causing her death. Krishnan initially pleaded guilty in the High Court and was sentenced to 20 years in jail, backdated to his arrest date.
