Salt Lake City has been awarded the 2034 Winter Olympics, marking the second time Utah will host the Games after the 2002 event. The city was the sole contender for the 2034 Games, showcasing its existing infrastructure and enthusiasm for winter sports. The Games are expected to be a compact event with all venues within an hour of the athlete village, leveraging existing facilities from the 2002 Olympics.
The International Olympic Committee has selected the French Alps to host the 2030 Winter Olympics. The Games will be held across a vast ski area, with sports taking place in four clusters across the region. This will be the fourth time France has hosted the Winter Olympics.
