The Indian women’s cricket team has set a new benchmark in Test cricket history, scoring a record-breaking 603/6d against South Africa in the Chennai Test. This surpasses Australia’s previous record of 575/9d, marking the fifth time a 500-plus total has been achieved in Women’s Test cricket. India’s opening pair, Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana, also created history with their record-breaking 292-run partnership for the first wicket, surpassing the previous best of 241 runs. Sneh Rana’s 8/77 in the match became the third-best bowling figures in Women’s Test cricket history, further adding to India’s dominance.
