Kapil Sibal Elected President of Supreme Court Bar Association

Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal has been elected as the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), defeating his nearest rival, Pradeep Rai, by a margin of 1,066 votes to 689. This marks Sibal’s fourth term as SCBA President, having previously held the position in 1995-96, 1997-98, and 2001. Sibal, a Harvard Law School graduate and former Additional Solicitor General of India, announced his candidacy on May 8th, facing competition from Priya Hingorani, Tripurari Ray, Neeraj Srivastava, and the incumbent President, Adish Aggarwala.
