President Joe Biden joined the first lady and praised the riders as the ‘spine of America.’ The Wounded Warrior Project, founded in 2003, provides support to veterans and their loved ones who have been injured or ill in military service since September 11, 2001. The Soldier Ride began in 2004 to raise awareness for wounded veterans.
