Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) has added six additional commuter lines to the Yogyakarta-Palur route in anticipation of a surge in passengers during the Vesak Day 2024 long holiday. The additional trips will operate from Thursday, May 23 to Sunday, May 26. With the addition of the six commuter lines, the total journey of Yogyakarta-Palur line is now 30 trips per day, more than weekdays that reach 24 trips. KAI Commuter predicts that there will be 100,000 – 130,000 users who will use the Yogyakarta commuter line with the most volume at the beginning of the Thursday holiday and the end of the long holiday on Sunday.
