Brunswick Housing Appeal Focuses on Compatibility, Delays

The Brunswick Zoning Board of Appeals has rejected all but one argument in an appeal against the proposed Wilbur’s Woods affordable housing development. One argument, regarding the compatibility of the 18-unit apartment building with the neighborhood, was sent back to the Planning Board for further review. The remaining 12 arguments, including concerns over traffic safety and resource strain, were denied. The appeal, filed by a resident on behalf of 52 neighbors, is pending a second review by the Planning Board. The developers expressed disappointment over the delays, highlighting the potential impact on future affordable housing projects.
