The Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) recently held Adventure Workshops in Toronto and Vancouver, spotlighting Taiwan’s wide range of cycling, hiking, and cultural experiences to Canadian travel professionals. Collaborating with Baxter Media, Canada’s leading travel industry news provider, the workshops positioned Taiwan as a premier destination for adventurous Canadians.
Taiwan’s allure for outdoor enthusiasts lies in its diverse terrain, boasting over 268 peaks above 3,000 meters, approximately 8,000 kilometers of cycling routes encircling the island, and a multitude of water sports and activities. This makes it an ideal destination for adventure seekers, as noted by Jin Juang, Director of Taiwan Tourism Administration’s New York office, which oversees the eastern Canada market.
The first workshop, held at the renowned Taiwanese restaurant Du Hsiao Yueh, provided Canadian travel professionals with a tantalizing glimpse of what awaits travelers in Taiwan. Presentations from foreigners who had experienced adventurous travel in Taiwan offered a unique perspective on the cycling, hiking, and cultural adventures that Canadians can expect. Additionally, attendees participated in speed dating sessions with tour operators and airlines, forging new partnerships to facilitate the creation and sale of more adventurous Taiwan vacation packages.
