Taiwan is set to make a major splash at ITB Asia 2024, the premier travel trade show in Asia, as it embarks on a mission to revitalize domestic tourism and actively promote international marketing. From October 23 to 25, 2024, the Taiwan Tourism Administration will be at the heart of the action in Singapore, collaborating with the Taipei City Government Department of Information and Tourism and six Taiwanese MICE industry partners. The objective? To explore new business opportunities and solidify Taiwan’s position as a top travel destination.
ITB Asia 2024 promises to be a dynamic event, attracting National Tourism Organizations (NTOs) from Estonia, Finland, Malta, and key Asia-Pacific markets like Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand. The event will also host Regional Tourism Organizations (RTOs), national Convention Bureaus, Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs), and tourism technology companies, creating a diverse and expansive platform for industry collaboration.
At the center of Taiwan’s presence will be the captivating Taiwan Pavilion, showcasing the island’s newly launched tourism brand: “Waves of Wonder.” This brand encapsulates Taiwan’s unique blend of vibrant culture, diverse landscapes, and innovative experiences, inviting visitors to explore its many wonders. The pavilion’s sleek design and interactive digital games will immerse visitors in Taiwan’s rich cultural and natural heritage, while on-site tastings of authentic Taiwanese cuisine will tantalize taste buds and deepen international tourists’ appreciation for the island’s culinary scene.
The Taiwan Tourism Administration will also seize this opportunity to promote key initiatives designed to attract international visitors. These include the “Accelerated and Expanded Inbound Tourism Promotion Program” and the “Buy-One-Get-One-Free High-Speed Rail Ticket for International Tourists” program, both designed to enhance Taiwan’s appeal as a top travel destination and encourage exploration of its unique offerings.
By significantly expanding its role at ITB Asia, Taiwan is demonstrating its commitment to the international tourism and MICE sectors. This strategic move aims to foster new business opportunities while showcasing the country’s vibrant culture, innovative offerings, and natural beauty. As Taiwan rides the wave of tourism, it’s clear that “Waves of Wonder” is more than just a brand; it’s a promise of an unforgettable journey waiting to be explored.
