The Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) recently concluded its comprehensive roadshow in several Indian cities, underscoring its dedication to capturing the Indian tourism sector. This extensive promotional tour kicked off earlier in the year and included engaging in the OTM and B2B networking activities in Delhi and Mumbai, culminating with a final event in Bengaluru, often referred to as India’s Silicon Valley, on April 19, 2024.
The penultimate event in Hyderabad on April 18 showcased Taiwan’s capabilities in hosting Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE), with the Bengaluru roadshow continuing this focus. There was noticeable excitement from the industry throughout the tour, drawing in Destination Management Companies (DMCs), travel agents, event planners, and corporate participants.
The gathering in Hyderabad took place at the Radisson Hotel, Banjara Hills, drawing approximately 80 prominent companies from both the MICE and leisure sectors. The event in Bengaluru, held at the JW Marriott, attracted close to 100 leading DMCs, tour operators, and event organizers. Both cities offered destination highlights, interactive engagements, and ample networking possibilities.
These multi-city engagements underscore the strategic pivot of Taiwan Tourism towards the Indian market, positioning Taiwan as a top MICE destination that expertly combines business opportunities with recreational offerings.
