Tamil Nadu Government Announces Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle

The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday implemented a major bureaucratic reshuffle, bringing about significant changes in key administrative positions. Among the most notable transfers is that of Principal Home Secretary P Amudha, IAS. She has been replaced by Dheeraj Kumar, currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Information Technology and Digital Services Department. Kumar has now been assigned the responsibility of the Home, Prohibition and Excise Department.

The government has also reassigned several other senior officials, including Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner Dr J Radhakrishnan. He has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection Department, taking over from Dr K Gopal.

In another key change, Senior IAS officer Kumar Jayant has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Information Technology and Digital Services Department, as per a Public (Special A) Department order. These transfers are expected to bring about a fresh perspective and renewed energy to the respective departments, contributing to the overall efficiency of the Tamil Nadu administration.
