Tampa International Airport (TPA) is making waves in the travel industry once again, earning a coveted nomination for the prestigious USAToday 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. This year, TPA is vying for the title of Best Large Airport, facing stiff competition from other major hubs like O’Hare International (ORD), Miami International (MIA), and John F. Kennedy International (JFK).
But TPA’s accolades don’t stop there! The airport has also snagged four nominations in the airport dining categories, reflecting its commitment to providing exceptional passenger experiences. TPA leads the pack in the Best Airport for Dining category and is also nominated for Best Airport Grab-and-Go Food with Airside C’s Bavaro’s, as well as Cigar City Brewing and Ulele in the Best Airport Sit-Down Restaurant category.
The public will now determine the winners, with voting open until Monday, Sept. 23. TPA supporters can cast their vote daily until the polls close. As of last week, TPA held the top spot in the Best Large Airport category, although the current standings are hidden until the top 10 winners are revealed on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
This isn’t TPA’s first rodeo in the USAToday 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. Last year, the airport secured a remarkable second place finish, falling just short of the top spot to Indianapolis International Airport.
The accolades don’t end there. TPA consistently earns top rankings, including being named the #1 Large Airport in J.D. Power’s North America Satisfaction Study in both 2022 and 2023. It also achieved the #1 ranking in the 2023 Airport Service Quality Awards. This consistent recognition underscores TPA’s commitment to delivering exceptional service and creating a positive travel experience for its passengers.
