Tampa International Airport (TPA) has once again earned its place as one of North America’s leading airports, securing the No. 2 spot in J.D. Power’s 2024 North America Airport Satisfaction Study. This recognition signifies a continued commitment to providing exceptional customer service and a positive travel experience.
The study evaluates passenger satisfaction across seven key areas, including terminal facilities, airport accessibility, baggage claim, security, check-in/baggage check, food and beverage options, and retail. TPA narrowly missed the top spot, scoring just two points behind Orange County’s John Wayne Airport, the 2024 leader. Despite this close call, TPA’s ranking is a testament to its dedication to providing a seamless and enjoyable travel experience.
This achievement comes after TPA held the No. 1 ranking in both 2022 and 2023. “With so many airports undergoing wonderful improvements that raise customer expectations and aim to enhance the air travel experience in this country, we’re thrilled to continue delivering the type of excellence that places us among the best,” said TPA CEO Joe Lopano. “We expect that as TPA completes some of our major ongoing projects such as the Red Express Curbs, shuttle replacements and security checkpoint area expansions – not to mention the future Airside D – this Airport will continue to be ranked among the very best in the U.S., if not the world.”
The airport’s ongoing investments in infrastructure improvements and customer-focused initiatives highlight its commitment to maintaining its reputation as a top-rated airport. As TPA continues to grow and adapt to meet the evolving needs of travelers, it remains committed to providing a world-class travel experience that sets the standard for the industry.
