The lyrics in the song ‘The Alchemy’ are believed to reference Jason Kelce’s viral moment during the Chiefs’ playoff run, when he took off his shirt and celebrated with Bills Mafia. The lyrics ‘Shirts off and your friends lift you up over their heads / Beer stickin’ to the floor, cheers chanted ’cause they said’ seem to match the scene perfectly.
Fans also believe that the lyrics in ‘So High School’ reference Travis Kelce’s football career and their post-Super Bowl celebrations. The lyrics ‘You know how to ball, I know Aristotle’ could be a nod to Travis’s status as a nine-time Pro Bowler, while the line ‘Where’s the trophy? He just comes running over to me’ could be about their celebration on the field after the Chiefs won the Super Bowl.
Swift and Travis Kelce have been dating since last summer, and she has attended several Chiefs games to support him. The couple is currently enjoying some downtime together before Swift resumes her Eras Tour next month.
