Throughout her record-breaking The Eras Tour, Taylor Swift’s onstage style has been consistently dazzling. The singer, who has a song aptly titled ‘Bejeweled,’ has favored looks adorned with sparkling crystals and embellishments, choosing designs sure to shine under the bright stage lights. Many of her captivating pieces are by Zuhair Murad, a designer known for his intricate beadwork. And at her latest performance tonight at London’s Wembley Stadium, the ‘Willow’ singer debuted a new body suit from Murad.
The dazzling navy blue design was covered with a constellation of silver stars and crescent moons, with a band of blue and silver beads along the hem. The Zuhair Murad atelier spent over 120 hours crafting the design (approximately three weeks of dedicated work); it boasts 180 stars of varying sizes, as well as 10,500 crystal beads. “For this version, Taylor had a vision of stars and moons,” says Murad about his latest creation, “I think this new iteration is the best one yet, with symbolism that beautifully blends Taylor’s inspiration and my love for romanticism. I’ve always designed strong silhouettes, and I think that naturally translates well on stage.”
Tonight’s Zuhair Murad suit is the fourth body suit the designer has created for Swift’s world tour. She’s also sported custom looks from Versace, Elie Saab, and others. Here’s a look back at other captivating Zuhair Murad designs.
