Teamfight Tactics is planning on reworking both the Ghostly and Heavenly traits in Patch 14.9.
The Ghostly trait currently creates Spectres that haunt enemies, causing them to take bonus damage from all units. However, this has led to a strategy where players rely on non-Ghostly units to carry their team, leaving the Ghostly units themselves as mere support. To address this, the developers will buff the damage per Spectre, but only Ghostly units will be able to deal this increased damage. This will allow units like Caitlyn, Kayn, and Morgana to excel as individual units rather than simply enhancing other units.
Similarly, the Heavenly trait, which grants bonus stats based on the number of units and their star levels, has not been performing as intended. Players have often used Heavenly units in other compositions for the bonus stats while avoiding weaker Heavenly units. Patch 14.9 will grant Heavenly units a 100% increase in bonuses, potentially revitalizing the Heavenly reroll strategy. This change could reshape the meta once the update goes live.
