A young girl from Nirmal district in Telangana, who was left orphaned after her mother’s tragic suicide, has received unexpected support from local leaders. The girl, who was struggling to afford the funeral arrangements for her mother, appealed for financial help from her neighbours, highlighting the dire situation her family was facing. The family had already been grappling with financial difficulties following the father’s death due to illness.
The girl’s plea for help quickly drew attention, with several individuals and organizations stepping up to offer assistance.
One of the most prominent responses came from KT Rama Rao, the working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) and a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Siricilla constituency. After seeing a video of the girl pleading for help, KTR took to X (formerly Twitter) to assure that the girl would receive immediate financial assistance.
“I’ve spoken to our BRS leaders of Mudhole constituency as soon as I saw this video (of the girl begging). They will attend to the young girl immediately,” KTR stated in his post.
Furthermore, KTR confirmed that local BRS leaders, guided by Dr. Kiran Komrewar, had already met with the girl and provided her with ₹10,000 as initial assistance. He expressed his commitment to personally talking to the girl and developing a plan to ensure her safe and secure future.
Following KTR’s post, Abhilasha Abhinav, the district collector of Nirmal district, assured that the young girl’s education would be taken care of according to official procedures.
“Respected Sir, The district administration has already reached out to the child today afternoon… Her education will be taken care of as per procedure. We are all with her in this difficult time. Presently her Peddamma is staying with her. Thanks,” she wrote on X.
The story of the young girl’s plight and the subsequent outpouring of support serves as a reminder of the power of community and compassion in times of hardship. It is heartening to see that local leaders and the district administration have stepped up to provide immediate assistance and offer long-term support for the orphaned girl’s well-being and education.
