The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Telangana carried out a raid on the residence of Dasari Narendar, the incharge revenue officer of Nizamabad Municipal Corporation, on Friday. The raid resulted in the seizure of assets worth over ₹6 crore, leading to the registration of a disproportionate assets case against Narendar. According to media reports, the revenue officer is accused of accumulating assets through corrupt practices and dubious means during his service.

The ACB’s search operation, conducted at various locations connected to Narendar, including his residence, yielded a significant amount of assets. These included ₹2,93,81,000 in cash, ₹1,10,00,000 in bank balances under his wife and mother’s names, nearly 595 grams of gold worth ₹6,00,000, and 17 immovable properties valued at ₹1,98,00,000. The total worth of the seized assets is estimated to be around ₹6,07,81,000.
