Telangana is poised to transform its tourism landscape with a bold plan that includes the establishment of a massive 1,000-acre zoological park near Hyderabad. This ambitious initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance the state’s appeal by focusing on three key areas: temple tourism, eco-tourism, and health tourism.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has outlined a comprehensive vision to elevate Telangana’s tourism offerings. The state will leverage successful practices from globally renowned tourist destinations to ensure its competitiveness. This strategy involves significant improvements to transportation, accommodation, and other essential amenities for tourists.
To enhance the overall experience, the Chief Minister has also proposed exploring safari opportunities within the Kawal and Amrabad forest areas. He envisions the development of eco-friendly cottages at popular tourist sites, enabling visitors to immerse themselves in Telangana’s natural beauty for extended periods.
The centerpiece of this ambitious plan is the development of the 1,000-acre zoological park. Situated on the outskirts of Hyderabad, this expansive park will be home to an incredible array of animals and birds from around the world. The project aims to provide a world-class zoological experience, drawing inspiration from successful models such as Anant Ambani’s Vantara animal shelter in Jamnagar.
The Telangana government is actively seeking collaboration with industrialists and key stakeholders to bring this vision to fruition. With these transformative initiatives, Telangana is set to become a prominent destination for both domestic and international tourists, showcasing its unique blend of cultural, natural, and health tourism experiences.
