This gathering of tennis personalities occurred during a brief break in the busy tennis schedule, following the recent Barcelona Open and WTA Grand Prix and ahead of the Mutua Madrid Open. Swiatek and Lewandowski, both renowned Polish athletes, have a shared history of admiration and support.
Swiatek’s appearance at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium marked a reciprocation of Lewandowski’s presence at her French Open victory in 2022. Notably, Naomi Osaka was also present, expressing support for Real Madrid and capturing a photo with injured goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz represented the ATP Tour at the El Clasico, while Novak Djokovic was seen alongside NFL legend Tom Brady. All of these players, except Djokovic, will soon commence their battle at the Madrid Open 2024, vying for the coveted ‘Tyche’ title.
