Terror Attack on Pilgrim Bus in Jammu and Kashmir Condemned by Leaders

Leaders, including President Droupadi Murmu, Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, and party chief Mallikarjun Kharge, have vehemently denounced the alleged terror attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi. According to the initial investigation by SSP Reasi Mohita Sharma, terrorists fired upon the passenger bus traveling from Shiv Khori to Katra, causing the driver to lose control and plunge the vehicle into a gorge.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with various political figures condemning the attack in the strongest terms. President Murmu expressed anguish and stated that the act was a crime against humanity, while Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anand Dubey questioned the government’s claims of eliminating terrorist activities after abrogating Article 370. Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai termed the attack cowardly and reprehensible, and Jammu and Kashmir BJP President Ravinder Raina accused Pakistani terrorists of carrying out the audacious attack.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi highlighted the worrying security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge condemned it as a deliberate affront to national security. National Conference leader Omar Abdullah expressed his unequivocal condemnation and noted the unfortunate return of militancy to previously cleared areas. BJP MP Kangana Ranaut strongly denounced the attack and prayed for the victims, while J&K BJP leader Kavinder Gupta expressed concern over the terrorists’ expansion of their gameplan beyond Kashmir.

The attack has prompted calls for increased vigilance and efforts to combat terrorism. The nation stands in solidarity with the families of the victims and prays for the speedy recovery of the injured. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges in ensuring safety and security in the region.
