The new Xyber XPC mini-PC is turning heads with its unique design, resembling a miniature Tesla Cybertruck. It’s not just a regular PC with a Cybertruck skin; this mini-PC is built to look and feel like a miniature RC car. It has shock absorbers, all four doors open, and even the wheels can be steered. The coolest detail is the expanding ramp in the trunk, a purely aesthetic feature that adds to the Cybertruck’s charm.
The XPC’s power button is cleverly hidden under the front shock absorbers, meaning you need to press down on the truck to turn it on. Inside, it boasts an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS “Hawk Point” APU with a 54W TDP. However, this powerful processor comes with a downside: the fan is quite loud, and the temperature soared to an unacceptable 100°C during testing. Even limiting the power to 40W resulted in a toasty 88°C. Taki, the reviewer, found that reducing the power to 30W brought the temperature down to a much more manageable 60°C.
The Xyber XPC starts at $399 for the Ryzen 7 7840HS version and features self-updating capabilities, just like the real Tesla Cybertruck. Despite the impressive design, the overheating issues are a concern and might dampen the enthusiasm for this otherwise cool mini-PC.
