A couple in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, experienced a rather unusual incident when their Tesla was damaged by a fish seemingly falling from the sky. The incident occurred on Sunday while the car was parked in their driveway. Cynthia and Jeff Levine, the owners of the Tesla, initially had no idea what had happened. The car’s alarm system went off, and they couldn’t figure out how to silence it. After inspecting the car, they were shocked to find fish scales and blood on the windshield. Initially, they thought someone had thrown the fish at their car, but they soon realized the fish had probably come from the Raritan Bay, located about a mile from their home. Residents of the area commonly see birds flying with fish in their beaks, and the Levines believe an eagle from their backyard might be responsible for the unexpected delivery. They plan to get their Tesla repaired soon, and Jeff has a message for any feathered neighbors who might be listening: He has lowered his insurance deductible, so any bird dropping fish on his car from now on will be covered.
