Textron Aviation Unveils Expanded Parts Distribution Facility in Wichita, Kansas

Textron Aviation has unveiled its largest parts distribution facility at its headquarters in Wichita, Kansas. The cutting-edge facility spans 180,000 square feet, significantly enhancing parts storage capabilities and expediting shipping services for the company’s global clientele. As part of Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT), Textron Aviation Inc. provides comprehensive direct factory support, maintenance, and modifications to Beechcraft, Cessna, and Hawker customers through a worldwide network of service centers, mobile units, and round-the-clock 1CALL AOG support.

Recognizing the vast fleet of Cessna, Beechcraft, and Hawker aircraft in operation globally, Textron Aviation prioritizes prompt parts availability to ensure uninterrupted flight operations. The expanded facility bolsters the company’s parts inventory investment and ensures accessibility for both new and existing models. To further enhance the customer experience, the expansion includes a dedicated customer lane that streamlines the process for in-person part drop-offs and pickups.

“Adding 180,000 square feet to our headquarters facility allows us to provide expedited support to our customers worldwide and continues our investment in parts inventory,” said Brad White, senior vice president, Global Parts and Distribution. “The expansion of our parts distribution operations is a testament to Textron Aviation’s commitment to designing and delivering the best aviation experience for customers.”

In line with its dedication to sustainability, the facility incorporates energy-efficient LED lighting and high-efficiency systems, alongside process enhancements that streamline shipments, reducing vehicle travel by an estimated 30,000 miles annually. Commencing in October 2022, the facility’s design was a collaborative effort between PEC Engineering and GLMV Architecture, with CONCO Construction bringing the project to fruition—all local entities to Textron Aviation’s headquarters and the expanded Wichita facility.

The expanded facility in Wichita forms part of Textron Aviation’s broader global network, which comprises seven parts distribution centers and 17 stockrooms. With over 150,000 unique part numbers and backed by a dedicated team of over 600 professionals, Textron Aviation stands primed to provide comprehensive parts support to its customers worldwide.
