in Bangkok. Running from October 24th to 31st, the festival promises to be a captivating blend of traditional Thai culture and Halloween fun.

This year’s event is set to be even bigger and better than its predecessors, building on the success of the

Wiang Ping Goosebumps Festival in Chiang Mai

Ancient Capital Goosebumps Festival in Ayutthaya

. Those festivals drew in a staggering 200,000 visitors and generated over 500 million Baht in revenue, making this year’s Bangkok edition a highly anticipated event.

The

Goosebump Market

sprawls across 20,000 square meters of the eerie Makkasan Factory, a landmark of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT). This historic site, once ASEAN’s largest factory, boasts iconic red brick walls and a rich history dating back to 1907. The festival transforms this industrial space into an enchanting world of spooky delights.

Over 80 local vendors are set up throughout the festival, creating an exciting marketplace filled with unique finds. Visitors can browse for amulets, indulge in spooky-themed culinary delights, and participate in traditional fairs and fortune-telling sessions. Eight themed zones cater to a diverse range of interests, offering a mix of shopping, dining, entertainment, and cultural activities.

The

Thailand Tourism Authority (TAT)

expects the festival to have a significant impact on Thailand’s tourism industry, particularly in faith-based travel. They project over 300 million Baht in revenue for local businesses and communities surrounding the event.

The Goosebumps Festival runs daily from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM, culminating in a thrilling

Halloween costume contest

on October 31st. Entry to the festival is free, making it a perfect opportunity to experience the unique blend of tradition and spooky fun that Thailand has to offer.
