Cadbury’s Top Deck, the iconic chocolate bar from the 90s, is making a grand comeback in the UK. First launched in 1993, Top Deck features classic Dairy Milk chocolate on the bottom and a generous layer of creamy white chocolate on the top. The bars disappeared from shelves in the late 90s but have recently been available in South Africa, where they’ve become a fan-favorite.
But in the UK, many people hadn’t forgotten about the sweet treat and had been begging Cadbury to bring it back, more than 30 years after its initial launch. On X (formerly Twitter), Jason Brock hailed them the ‘greatest chocolate bar’ he ever recalled buying, while @naiadqyeen said there was ‘nothing’ like a Top Deck bar. Rebecca Wallis agreed, posting: ‘The best chocolate in the world is Cadbury’s Top Deck… if only it was still available in the UK.’
They’ll likely all be delighted to know that the chocolate bar will be available once more in Tesco supermarkets and Booker from mid-June onwards. A few weeks after this, in July, the bars will also be sold in numerous other retailers nationwide.
The iconic chocolate bar is being revived as part of the brand’s ongoing 200th anniversary celebrations and will feature vintage packaging inspired by the original bar, providing a moment of nostalgia and a trip down memory lane for 90s babies.
Cadbury Top Deck costs £1.85 for a 110g bar, however, it’s worth noting that shops are able to set their own prices, so this may vary.
