Her post has been interpreted as a criticism of Pochettino’s decision to bench her husband.
The incident comes after Belle Silva had previously called for Pochettino to be sacked in February following a defeat to Wolves. She had also made comments suggesting that her husband would leave Chelsea when his contract expires in the summer.
Despite Belle Silva’s criticism, Pochettino defended his decision to bench Silva against Arsenal, citing the need to give the team energy and rest the 39-year-old defender. He also acknowledged that the team’s performance, particularly in the second half, was unacceptable.
