Three Regina Teens Charged with Assault After Bear Spray Attack

Three Regina teenagers have been charged with assault after a bear spray attack on Tuesday morning. Police responded to a report of a weapon offence around 7:20 a.m. in the 1700 block of Elphinstone Street, near Mosaic Stadium.

According to police, the three teens bear-sprayed and assaulted two individuals at a bus stop before fleeing the scene. The victims sustained injuries and received medical treatment. Shortly after the incident, the suspects were located walking on Elphinstone Street and apprehended.

Two 13-year-olds and a 14-year-old have been charged with assault with a weapon. They made their first appearance in provincial youth court on July 2.
