Tiger Woods and Team TGL Aim for Victory in High-Tech Golf League

Tiger Woods, a legendary figure in golf, has joined forces with fellow superstar Rory McIlroy and the PGA Tour to launch a technologically advanced golf league called Tomorrow’s Golf League (TGL). The league, set to be played indoors with a virtual green that can be transformed into various courses, will feature teams representing major cities.

Woods is a part-owner of the Jupiter Links Golf Club, which he will represent in the TGL. He expressed his enthusiasm for the league, stating, “I have already shared my excitement and optimism for TGL as a league and product. Now that we have finalized our roster with a team of world-class golfers, I am even more confident that this group will proudly represent the Jupiter area and connect with our fans for years to come.”

Woods’ teammate, Max Homa, who hails from Southern California like Woods, credits the golf icon as his inspiration. “Following Tiger’s career is one of the main reasons that I became an avid golfer,” Homa said. “I remember watching him win the 1997 Masters, and now getting to play alongside him has been amazing.”

The team also includes 21-year-old Tom Kim, who has already secured three PGA titles, and 40-year-old Kevin Kisner, who brings veteran experience to the group.

Kisner expressed his privilege to have competed alongside Woods, saying, “While I know we will have a lot of fun as a team with me, Tiger, Max, and Tom, I also know when Tiger’s competitive fire kicks in, we are going to be ready to play and win.”

The Jupiter Links Golf Club’s logo draws inspiration from the city’s Palm Flag, with its font resembling Woods’ signature.

Speculation has arisen that Woods may be named as the USA’s Ryder Cup skipper for 2025, two years earlier than anticipated. The golf legend was previously tipped for the job in Ireland in 2027, but his strong contention has led to the possibility of leading his country at Bethpage Black in September 2025. Woods has hinted at an impending announcement regarding this matter.
