During a listening tour around Waukesha County, residents expressed various concerns and ideas. Annette Protiva emphasized the need for more coverage of the suburbs and their unique perspectives, while Desmund Cleveland highlighted the importance of showcasing the community’s people and their stories. Gregory Rise called for more human interest stories that resonate on a personal level. Mark Jeske expressed his appreciation for Wisconsin’s outdoor recreation opportunities, particularly hunting and fishing.
Education was also a common theme, with Kathi Vitas suggesting coverage of positive initiatives involving young people in the community. Additionally, Margaret Kellner and Margie Ruesch expressed their passion for creating an inclusive playground for children with special needs like Wyatt Kellner. They are currently fundraising for the project and have already raised $500 towards their goal of $300,000.
