Top Events of the Day: SBI Chairman Interviews, NTPC NCD Proposal, Amarnath Yatra Begins

The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) will conduct interviews for the next chairman of the State Bank of India on June 29. These interviews were originally scheduled for May 21-22 but were postponed. Current chairman Dinesh Kumar Khara will retire on August 28 upon reaching the age of 63.

The NTPC board of directors will convene on June 29 to discuss a proposal to raise up to ₹ 12,000 crore through non-convertible debentures (NCDs). This follows the company’s report of a 33% increase in consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter of 2023-24.
