State Bank of India (SBI) has announced its first-quarter results for fiscal year 2024-25 (Q1FY25), revealing that its board has approved fundraising of up to ₹ 25,000 crore via tier-1 and tier-2 bonds. This move aims to bolster the bank’s financial position and is subject to the approval of the Government of India where necessary.

Ambuja Cements, owned by billionaire Gautam Adani’s Group, has announced a significant investment of ₹ 1,600 crore in Bihar. This marks the largest investment in the state by a cement industry player and will see the establishment of a cement grinding unit with a capacity of six million tonnes per annum (MTPA) at Warisaliganj, Bihar.
