Get ready for some intense tennis action! The 29th Open National Tennis Championship is about to heat up the courts at the DLTA Complex in New Delhi from September 28th to October 12th.
The tournament boasts an impressive lineup of top players, led by multiple Asian Games medalist Vishnu Vardhan, top seed Prajwal Dev, and the reigning champion, Rashmikaa S Bhamidipaty. Former India No. 2 Riya Bhatia will also be vying for the title.
Beyond the senior category, the tournament will feature age-group sections for aspiring young players in the U-18, U-16, and U-14 divisions for both boys and girls.
Adding to the excitement, the championship offers a total prize purse of Rs 21.55 lakh, along with kit allowances for the junior categories. But the rewards go beyond prize money. Recognizing the importance of supporting emerging talent, DCM Shriram Ltd, under the leadership of Chairman and Senior Managing Director Ajay S Shriram, has announced scholarships of Rs 25,000 for the winners and runners-up in the U16 and U14 singles events.
