The Tourism Innovation Summit (TIS), a technology-focused event dedicated to enhancing the competitiveness of the travel and tourism sector, is returning to Seville, Spain, from October 23 to 25, 2024. This year’s edition will feature the Touristech Startup Fest 2024, an entrepreneurship competition open to national and international startups.
Startups are invited to present their innovative projects aimed at transforming, reactivating, and introducing new business models in the tourism sector to industry stakeholders and Travel Tech investment funds. TIS2024 encourages submissions from startups with solutions in AI, Data, Business Intelligence, automation, 5G, AR/VR, and cybersecurity, applicable across various tourism industry segments.
A total of 40 startups will be selected to present their projects to investors, venture capitalists, and leading tourism companies attending TIS in search of disruptive technological projects. Winners of the Touristech Startup Fest will gain access to various prizes and acceleration, mentoring, or training programs to help them scale their businesses and test their solutions in the industry. Interested companies can submit their projects until September 20, 2024.
The previous edition of the Touristech Startup Fest awarded a dozen startups for their innovative solutions, including AI solutions for personalized tourism experiences, digital hotel twins, automation and robotics for the hotel industry, and software to improve the management and operations of tourism businesses.

In this context, showcasing the most disruptive solutions from startups is essential to further stimulate innovation and improve the competitiveness of the tourism industry”.
Under the slogan “Elevating the Travel Industry with Tech,” TIS2024 will bring together over 7,000 professionals from the tourism sector in Seville. The event will showcase the latest technology applications and success stories that are helping the sector better understand new traveler demands and offer unique, personalized experiences. Over 200 exhibiting companies and 400 experts from around the world will present cutting-edge technologies and strategies that are transforming the travel industry.
