In line with the annual PATA congregation’s tradition, the 2024 summit convenes members from over 30 destinations worldwide. The event comprises plenary and breakout sessions, PATA Executive Board and Board meetings, and the Annual General Meeting. These gatherings foster engagement among PATA members from various sectors and regions, including PATA Chapters and Youth members globally.
Tourism Malaysia has maintained an active role within PATA. The organization has served as a platform for brand exposure and supported the tourism sector through trade events, industry research, and professional development initiatives.
Tourism Malaysia, which joined PATA in 1959 and celebrates 65 years of membership this year, has leveraged PATA’s programs to position Malaysia as a prime tourist destination. The country has hosted significant PATA events such as the PATA Adventure Travel Conference and Mart (ATCM) 2020 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
