Tragedy Strikes: 12-Year-Old Boy Electrocuted in Delhi’s Dwarka

The Chhawla area of Delhi’s Dwarka witnessed a tragic incident on April 23rd, as a 12-year-old boy succumbed to electrocution after inadvertently coming into contact with an electricity pole while playing near his home. The incident was reported to the authorities through a PCR call, and upon investigation, it was determined that the boy had suffered severe injuries from the electrocution and was rushed to the RTRM Hospital. However, despite immediate medical attention, the boy was sadly pronounced dead upon arrival.

Following the unfortunate event, both the district crime team and a team from BSES, the electricity distribution company, conducted an inspection of the site. A case has been registered at the police station under relevant sections of the law, and authorities are awaiting a response from BSES regarding the matter. This heartbreaking incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of electrical safety and the need for constant vigilance to prevent such tragic accidents, especially involving young children.
