The incident unfolded when Rajkumar Khuggar, the 62-year-old victim, along with his laborers, was sowing paddy on his farm. Tragically, he picked up the electricity wire of the water motor and placed it on the fencing of the field, resulting in his electrocution. As the wire fell into the waterlogged paddy field, the other victim, Jayanti Devi, a 64-year-old woman from Dophariya village, also became a victim of the electrical surge.
Despite efforts from the other workers, who promptly disconnected the power supply lines and rushed the victims to a private hospital, doctors sadly pronounced them dead upon arrival. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, and the authorities are investigating the matter further.
