Tragic Fire at Delhi Children’s Hospital Kills Six Infants

The heartbreaking incident unfolded around 11.32 pm when fire services received a distress call. Nine fire tenders were promptly dispatched to the scene to combat the raging flames. According to the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) chief, the fire call originated from the Baby Care Centre located near ITI, Block B of Vivek Vihar area.

The incident cast a pall of tragedy following the horror in Gujarat, where a massive fire tore through a crowded game zone, killing at least 27 people. Gujarat’s Chief Minister has ordered a thorough SIT investigation into the devastating event.

Rajkot Police Commissioner Raju Bhargava revealed that the gaming zone is owned by Yuvraj Singh Solanki, who was taken into custody for questioning. Bhargava stated, “Fire broke out in the TRP gaming zone in the afternoon. The rescue operations are on. The fire is under control. We are trying to retrieve as many bodies as possible. Investigations will be carried out.”

The police commissioner added, “We will be registering an offence for negligence and the deaths which have occurred. The further investigation will take place once we complete the rescue operations here.” MoS state Harsh Sanghvi confirmed that the administrator and the manager of the facility have been apprehended.

This tragic event underscores the urgent need to enhance safety protocols and prevent such disasters from recurring in the future.
